Technical Designer – Soft Goods
Department: Corporate Engineering
Reports to: Director of Product Development for Hunting, ATV, Camping

This position is responsible for developing new products in our hunting and camping categories as well as providing support for existing products. The purpose of this position is to lead the design, illustration and technical aspects of our hunting blinds, camping tents, etc. Seeking a candidate who has a passion for creating high quality products in the outdoor sporting goods market. Key focus of this position includes working closely with Engineers and related team members to understand project scope, goals for new product development and customer or market needs. High levels of effective communication with management and suppliers is a must.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Four year college degree or equivalent experience in Industrial or Product Design, Apparel Design or related soft good design field. Those with 2-year technical degree and 3+ years of consumer design experience will also be considered.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% travel is required. Ideally the position is based in Cumberland, WI but could be based in Mendota Heights, MN depending on applicant. Will require weekly-monthly travel between our Headquarters in Cumberland, WI and our Satellite office in Mendota Heights, MN. Overseas travel may also be necessary.
